Quite low in altitude, it enables the vine to express all its potential through soils of pebbles, gravels, sands or "boulbenes"(soils of alluvial, sandy and clayey composition). This is how some winegrowers will tell you about the left bank "Graves". It is a exceptional terroir for the red varieties.

White Gaillac, less lively than on the right bank, play with subtlety and finesse. The Len de l'El expresses its white flower and peach aromas, and Sauvignon fragrances of grapefruit. In the past few years, winemakers have been growing very complex sweet white wines of very high standard, particularly when produced from Len de l'El.
